All My Ghosts, titled after the Pixies song, is a series built around fleeting impressions rather than fixed images. The paintings are ethereal, misty, and deliberately elusive, emerging through a quick and intuitive process in which forms appear, shift, and disappear almost as soon as they are recognized.

These works occupy a space between clarity and obscurity. Shapes seem to float through veils of color and atmosphere, suggesting something glimpsed rather than fully seen. The paintings resist a single, definite reading, inviting the viewer to look closely while accepting that the image may remain just beyond recognition.

The process is intentionally fast and instinctive. Rather than carefully constructing every element, Scarzafava allows the work to develop with a sense of immediacy, capturing a visual impression before it becomes overly defined.
